17 Group of Norway
As early as in 1984 the 17 Group of Norway was established to serve as the marketing channel of major Norwegian equipment suppliers to Chinese Shipping Industry.
During it`s 26 years of existence, the Group has served as a springboard into China for many top ranking Norwegian manufacturers.
Over the years many companies have joined the Group, but also some have left the Group as they have achieved their initial goals.
Since 1999 AERON has been one of the owner of the 17 Group of Norway and today the Group belongs to 12 Norwegian companies.
Each company is one of the leading supplier in their segment of marine equipments.
This year’s edition of AGM was held in Flekkefjord from 19-20 of May. It started with a board meeting and continued with a members meeting. All companies main target is to catch as many orders as possible.
To manage being updated on news in foreign countries, a network with “colleagues” in the maritime cluster is very important to succeed.
