INMEX INDIA 2009, 24 - 26 September
INMEX India, the largest and the most recognized maritime event in South Asia was inaugurated by Her Excellency Ann Ollestad, Ambassador of Norway.
The sixth edition of INMEX India was held in Mumbai 24-26th September 2009. INMEX is the premier maritime event in India and a common platform for the marine industry to interact with significant customers & key decision makers.
Aeron was represented by Mr. Kim Sirnes (Sales Engineer) and Mr. Bjorn Tore Nyland (Area Sales Manager). This is the second time we are participating to Inmex India and we are satisfied with all the contacts we have made. For the last two years, we have had focus in making contact to shipyards and ship owners. The competition is very hard in India and we have to supply a good technical solution to a competitive price.
India is a new market for Aeron and it is a very interesting because of all the offshore vessels that are being built in India. In the global marine HVAC market, Aeron is the leading supplier of marine HVAC systems to the offshore vessels.
Today the Indian flag fleet is only able to transporting 9% of goods to/from India. Within 2020 the Government would like to increase this percentage to 30-40%. The Navy and Coast Guard have approved budgets for ordering new ships for USD 20 billion.
