
7 MEMBERS OF THE 17-GROUP OF NORWAY VISITED CHINEESE SHIPYARDS
Since 1998 Aeron has been a member to the 17-group of Norway. The group consists of 8 members and all companies are well known in the Maritime Sector.
March 15, we starter our trip in Shanghai and visited Hudong Shipyard (Container and Bulk vessels) In the afternoon we visited Waigaoqiao Shipyard, which mostly are building Container-, Bulk Vessels and FPSO.
March 16, we drove from Shanghai to Ningbo were we had a company presentation at Zhejiang Shipyard. This shipyard is building a lot of offshore vessels and had at least 8 – 10 ships under construction and in different phases of completion. Zhejiang SY belongs to the Sinopacific Group and all members have got several contracts for their offshore new buildings.

March 17, we visited Yanfang Shipyard. They are building among other things, Container ships and Car Carriers. They have also just written contact for 6 + 2 Container ships, 1100 TEU with the ship owner SITC. In the afternoon we visited Ouhua Shipyard, which are building large Multi Purpose Carriers.

March 18, some members travelled to Nanjing visited Jinling Shipyard, while AERON preferred to visit COSCO Group in Shanghai for some new projects upcoming.
March 21, we visited Chipolbrok (Chinese Polish Joint Stock Shipping Company). They have decided to build 6 Heavy Lift Vessels, each 26000 tons. In addition they have management for some MPV (Multi Purpose Vessels). Also we visit Sinotrans Container Lines Co.Ltd. They have decided to build 6+2 Container Vessels 1100 TEU at Yanfan Shipyard
March 22, we visited SITC Shipping Management (Shanghai) Co.,Ltd. This company has management contract with 17 Container vessels and 1 Bulk vessel.
