Aeron to deliver HVAC systems to SeaMetric Twin Marine Lifters
Aeron has just signed a contract with SeaMetric International for delivery of complete ventilation and air-conditioning system to the two advanced heavy lifters that SeaMetric are building at China Petroleum Liaohe Equipment Company (CPLEC), former Liaohe shipyard in China.
The contract has been signed by Aeron area sales manager Mr. Bjørn Tore Nyland and includes two shipset for delivery in 2009, with options for four more vessels. The value of the order including options may be close to 40 mill NOK.
SeaMetric International AS is a limited liability company focusing on cost effective and safe marine services and operations in the offshore oil and gas industry. SeaMetric International AS has developed the Twin Marine Lifter (TML) system for installation and removal of very heavy objects like platform topside and jackets with weights up to 20.000 tons. The ship is designed by the Norwegian company Multi Maritime. Norway has been in the front in the world with development of advanced offshore vessels, and appr. 4 of 5 ships built in Norway is an offshore vessel. Since Aeron has had a market share of appr. 60-65% in Norway since 2000, Aeron is maybe the company in the world with best knowledge in ventilation and air-conditioning systems to advances offshore vessels. This order with SeaMetric confirms Aeron’s leading position in the field of advanced offshore vessels, Mr. Nyland says. With this order Aeron is close to pass 100 shipset for China since 2000.
With the increasing oil price, the numbers of offshore vessels built is also increasing. With our strong position in this market, we believe that we will have great possibilities and expect a further growth in the far east in the years to come, Mr. Nyland says.
